Watford Midfielder Guedioura Expects Nigerian Fans To Respect Algeria Stars
Published: October 13, 2016Watford’s Algerian international Adlène Guedioura is not expecting the Super Eagles fans to jeer his national team when they face off with Nigeria at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium, Uyo on November 12.
The Desert Foxes would be behind Nigeria by five points if they lose the crucial game, and Guedioura is aware that there is an extra importance to the game in their race to qualify for Russia 2018.
“It’s going to be an important game for us. I’m sure we’ll have a good welcome from the Nigerian people and from Ighalo and Isaac, but when we go into the pitch they’re not going to be my teammates or my friends any more.
“It’s going to be a tough game and I can’t wait for it,” Guedioura told watfordfc.com.
Adlène Guedioura put in a full shift in Algeria’s 1-1 draw with Cameroon on Sunday.
