Algeria Coach To Unleash Bordeaux France U20 Star Chased By Man Utd, Ounas Against Nigeria
Published: October 11, 2016Bordeaux exciting teenage midfielder Adam Ounas is poised to make his international debut for Algeria in their World Cup qualifier with the Super Eagles of Nigeria on November 12.
Born in Chambray-lès-Tours, France, Ounas recently committed his international future to Algeria at senior level despite playing for the U20 national team of France.
The attacking midfielder was in Algeria last weekend to hand all documents regarding his switch to the Algerian Football Federation, who are now hoping to complete the paperwork before the squad travels to Uyo.
Whilst the Nigerian Federation are finding it difficult to convince English-born players to choose the Super Eagles, the Algerian FA have not encountered difficulties, with 16 players born in France making the roster for their World Cup qualifier against Cameroon.
The French-born players called up to face the Indomitable Lions include Raïs M’Bolhi, Carl Medjani, Faouzi Ghoulam
Cadamuro-Bentaïba, Mehdi Zeffane, Mehdi Tahrat, Sofiane Feghouli and Saphir Taïder.
Leicester City star Mahrez, Adlène Guedioura, Yacine Brahimi, Ryad Boudebouz, Rachid Ghezzal, Walid Mesloub, Mehdi Abeid and Sofiane Hanni make up the list.
