Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea Scouts Run The Rule Over Wilfred Ndidi
Published: October 02, 2016Manchester United sent one of their trusted scouts to run the rule over Nigeria international Wilfred Ndidi during Thursday’s Europa League meeting between Racing Genk and Sassuolo.
Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur says Manchester United chief scout Jim Lawlor and one of their freelancers attended the game at Luminus Arena (Genk).
Ndidi was seriously courted by Hamburg and Watford in the summer transfer window but the two clubs failed to meet his asking price, and a couple of Premier League teams have observed him this season.
Representatives of Leicester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle, Southampton and Bayern also monitored the defensive midfielder display his wares against the Italian opponents.
The Nath Boys product signed a contract extension with Racing Genk in February that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2020 if both parties honour the agreement.
