Ovie Ejaria Joins Jordon Ibe, Ojo, Ilori, Amoo & Otsemobor In Liverpool History Books
London-born midfielder of Nigerian ancestry Ovie Ejaria finally made his competitive debut for Liverpool in their 3-0 rout of Derby County in the League Cup on September 20.

When the 18-year-old stepped out onto the iPro Stadium pitch in the 77th minute of the contest, he became the 733rd player to represent Liverpool in competitive matches since 1892, according to the statisticians at lfchistory.net.

Thus, Ejaria followed in the footsteps of Sheyi Ojo, Jordon Ibe and Tiago Ilori, who played for the first team of the Reds in official matches.

David Amoo, now on the books of Partick Thistle, and the retired defender Jon Otsemobor both represented Liverpool’s first team before they moved on to pastures new.
