Nigerian Defender Provides Game-Winning Assist For Man Utd U23 In Win vs Derby County
Published: September 20, 2016Young Nigerian midfielder Tosin Kehinde was not involved as Manchester United U23s beat Derby County 3-2 in a captivating Premier League 2 game at Old Trafford on Monday night.
The 18-year-old has not featured for the squad since August 28, when he took to the pitch in their 1-1 draw with Chelsea before the international break.
United States youth-teamer Matthew Olosunde made his second appearance of the season, coming on in the 58th minute against the Rams.
A brace from McTominay and Harrop’s strike secured a 3-2 win for Manchester United, while Charles Vernam twice equalized for Derby County.
Olosunde, 18, provided the assist for the winning goal scored by McTominay in the 85th minute when he met a cross before setting up the Scottish midfielder.
