Chuba Akpom Goals Fire Arsenal To First Win Of The Season In Premier League 2
Published: September 09, 2016England U21 international Chuba Akpom bagged a brace as Arsenal claimed their first win of the season with a 3-1 victory over Derby County in the Premier League 2 at St George’s Park National Football Centre on Friday night.
Willock got the ball rolling in the seventh minute after he was slipped through on goal by Akpom, before the Nigerian striker doubled the visitors advantage with a low finish on 27 minutes.
It became 3-0 in the 55th minute when Akpom got his second goal from close range, and he came close to a hat-trick only for his shot to miss the target.
The 20-year-old has now netted three times in Premier League 2 this term, including his strike against Liverpool before the international break.
It is all but confirmed that he will not be in action for the first team when they take on Southampton on Saturday.
