Ex-Nigeria U23 Skipper Obanor Gets Green Light To Start Career At Greuther Furth
Published: September 05, 2016Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that former Nigeria U23s skipper Erhun Obanor is set to travel to Germany in the coming days to resume his professional career with 2 Bundesliga side Greuther Furth.
The ex-Mountain of Fire stopper has been in Nigeria for the past one month awaiting the outcome of his visa application to the German embassy, and was finally given the green light to proceed to Germany on Monday afternoon.
Obanor has been issued a three-month visa and a copy of the traveling document has been forwarded to the Sporting Director of Greuther Furth, so the club can send him a flight ticket.
The player’s representative has hinted that his work permit application was successful and will be ready before the expiration of his visa on December 2, 2016.
The 21-year-old Erhun Obanor was included in Nigeria’s 35-man provisional roster for the 2016 Olympic Games but was axed when the 18-man squad was named.
He has signed a 3+2 year contract with Greuther Furth.
