Chelsea, Man City, Leicester City, Watford Stars Named In Nigeria Lineup To Face Tanzania
Published: September 03, 2016Nigeria coach Gernoit Rohr has announced his starting line-up ahead of Saturday’s African Cup of Nations qualifier against Tanzania in Uyo.
The big news is that the German has decided to pick Wolves goalkeeper Carl Ikeme as the man to protect the goalposts ahead of home-based pair Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Emmanuel Daniel.
Otherwise there are no major surprises in the line-up, with Musa Mohammed, Elderson Echiejile, William Troost-Ekong and Leon Balogun nominated to start in defense .
The midfield consists of John Obi Mikel, Eddy Onazi and Man City teenage star Kelechi Iheanacho.
Watford striker Odion Ighalo leads the charge for goals and he is flanked by Leicester City’s Ahmed Musa and Chelsea dazzler Victor Moses.
The game kicks off at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium at 1700 hours.
