Richard Owubokiri Visits Dream Team In Salvador Ahead Of Denmark Clash
Published: August 13, 2016Retired Nigeria international Richard Owubokiri offered his support to the Nigerian U23 squad ahead of Saturday’s quarterfinal clash with Denmark at Itaipava Arena Fonte Nova, Salvador.
The former Boavista and Estrela Amadora hero is now based in Salvador after calling time on his illustrious career in 1997 at the age of 36.
Owubokiri stepped into the team hotel just after midnight Nigerian time on Saturday and met with officials of the squad and the players, and wished them good luck against the Scandinavians.
A product of Sharks and ACB, he earned over 20 caps for the Super Eagles and was part of their 1982 African Cup of Nations squad.
He had two different spells with Brazilian Serie A side Esporte Clube Vitória , who are based in Salvador, Bahia.
