The Delta Airline plane, which departed Atlanta at approximately 0800 hours local time, touched down in Brazil at 1419 hours .
This is hardly a good way to prepare for a prestigious competition but the Nigeria U23s found themselves in an awkward situation after traveling to the United States for a get-together without the approval of the Sports Minister.
The Nigeria Football Federation only came to ask for money to charter a plane on Monday and the Federal Government paid $174,000 to an NFF agent’s account, according to Nneka Ikem-Anibeze, Special Adviser on Media to the Minister of Sports.
