Roma Starlet Returns To Nigeria After Suffering Knee Injury
Published: July 21, 2016Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Roma defender Nura Abdullahi is on his way to Abuja after departing Italy on Thursday.
The fullback has undergone surgery after suffering anterior cruciate ligament damage and faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
The 18-year-old was supposed to return to Nigeria with Dream Team VI trainee Sadiq Umar but delayed his trip because he had to undergo an operation.
Abdullahi has started his rehabilitation and had to travel with the Roma squad to Pinzolo to continue receiving treatment as all the doctors were with the team for their pre-season training.
When the Giallorossi squad returned, he was given a holiday and permitted to fly to Nigeria to see his family.
A product of Football College Abuja, Nura Abdullahi penned a four-year contract with Roma this summer after impressing officials of the capital outfit while on loan last season from Spezia.
