Iheanacho Olympic Hopes Finally Dashed After Making Man City Roster For Tour
Published: July 20, 2016Manchester City have confirmed that Kelechi Iheanacho will be on the plane when the first team travels to Germany and China for pre-season games, contrary to earlier reports.
With a statement published on their official webpage, City revealed that the Nigeria international and 33 players will be in the traveling party.
It was first reported by several media outlets, including allnigeriasoccer.com, that Iheanacho was omitted from the squad due to a visa hitch.
The 19-year-old and young defender Tosin Adarabioyo will be hoping to impress manager Pep Guardiola when The Citizens face Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United.
With Iheanacho included in the squad list, it is all but confirmed that he will not represent Nigeria at the Olympic Games next month.
