Leicester City Running The Rule Over Nigerian Defender Joshua Debayo
Published: July 14, 2016The young Nigerian defender Joshua Debayo is trialing at English Premier League champions Leicester City .
The 19-year-old, who played for Southampton last season, was part of a Leicester City XI squad that tackled Ilkeston in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday night.
Joshua Debayo was named in the starting line-up as The Foxes beat their opponents 3-1 at the New Manor Ground.
At the end of last season when Southampton submitted their retained list to the Premier League, they had announced that the teenager was offered a new contract but it is unclear if he extended his stay.
Debayo swapped Chelsea for Southampton in the summer of 2013, then penned a professional contract few months later.
