West Brom Target Ighalo Will Be Sold For Right Price, As Agents Hold Talks With Watford
Published: July 13, 2016Watford striker Odion Ighalo will be staying put at Watford in the new
season barring any last-minute change of plans by manager Walter Mazzarri.
The intermediaries handling the affairs of Ighalo were at The Vic last week to hold showdown talks with Hornets suits and they were told point-blank that the Nigeria international will remain at the club except a mega bid is received.
The former Lyn Oslo and Granada star was courted by a host of Premier League clubs not limited to Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal in the January transfer window but they have cooled their interest.
“This is football, anything can change. Every player in the world is available for sale, even Messi can be sold by Barcelona if a very big bid is made , ” a source told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“What Watford said is that they will only sell Ighalo if an interested club meet his asking price.
“Several Premier League clubs have recently contacted Watford and enquired about his availability and what he will cost.”
Ighalo, who is contracted to Watford until June 2020, is thought to be on the radar of West Brom and Everton.
