Senegalese-Born Faye Being Used By Boavista To Trick Nigerians Into Accepting Pay Cuts
Published: July 05, 2016It has come to light that Senegalese-born Fary Faye, an ex-player and captain of Boavista, who is now on the technical team of the Portuguese setup, is being used as a pawn to illegally trick the Nigerian players into accepting pay cuts.
Faye, who represented the Panthers from 2003-2008, is forcing the players to sign documents that will make them receive lower wages.
Michael Uchebo earns 20,000 euros net every month at Boavista and the club is pressurizing him to accept new terms or be frozen out of the first team.
The Super Eagles striker is not pleased with the antics of officials of the club, and has confirmed that his management team will make a report to Fifa.
“I am not happy with the situation in Boavista but my management would be making a complaint to Fifa, ” Michael Uchebo briefly told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Fellow Nigeria internationals Reuben Gabriel and Uche Nwofor are also being forced to accept reduced salaries and have not been paid for the last two months.
