Nwakali In Critical Condition After Attack By Hoodlums ; Robbed Of Pounds
Published: July 05, 2016Kelechi Nwakali’s elder brother, Allwell Nwakali, is in critical condition at an undisclosed hospital in Owerri after he was attacked on Monday night by suspected cultists at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri .
CEO of the nursery team of the Arsenal-bound midfielder, Emeka Amajiriaku, has disclosed that the hoodlums made away with valuables, including a large sum of money, and destroyed two of his cars.
“Nwakali Allwell was mobbed by FUTO Man O’ War group, they broke his two cars beyond repair and made away with his wallet containing good amount of pounds, ”said Amajiriaku to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“They also made away with other valuable items including phones. Right now, he is lying critically ill in the hospital. ”
With Kelechi Nwakali set to travel this month to complete his switch to Arsenal, the CEO of ASJ Academy was asked if the latest incident would affect their planned trip to London.
He replied : “No, there is no way it will affect the trip to Arsenal, it can’t.”
Kelechi Nwakali, 18, is with the Nigeria U20s in Abuja at the moment and will travel to Khartoum on Wednesday ahead of the Africa U20 Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan this weekend.
