Nigerian Starlets Omole, Olowu Sign Scholarship Deals With Arsenal
Published: June 30, 2016Two Nigerian teenagers Toby Omole and Joseph Olowu have signed scholarship deals with English Premier League club Arsenal, the official website of the Gunners, arsenal.com, has reported.
Omole and Olowu have followed in the footsteps of Chuba Akpom and Nigeria national-teamer Alex Iwobi, who both graduated from Hale End Academy.
After their first training session on Wednesday at London Colney, the ten new scholars visited the Emirates Stadium at N7 7AJ.
Toby Omole, who is a central defender, played three games for the Arsenal U18s squad last season, and was an important member of the U17s team that won the 2016 Future Cup.
Defender Olowu starred for Arsenal U16s last term and hopes to feature for the U18s in the forthcoming season.
