Nicky Ajose Targets Promotion After Sealing Three-Year Charlton Deal
Published: June 29, 2016New Charlton Athletic acquisition Nicholas Ajose is pleased to complete his move to the Addicks and has targeted promotion to the English second-tier in his first season at the club.
The Manchester United product ended speculation about his future by putting pen to paper on a three-year contract on Monday, June 27th, ending his collaboration with Swindon Town in the process.
“Last year at Swindon, I said that my aspirations for this season were to be playing the Championship but when a club like Charlton come calling - with the infrastructure and plans that it has got, and the size of the club - I felt like it was an opportunity that I could not turn down, .” Ajose told cafc.co.uk.
“I’m really pleased to get it signed at such an early point in the season.
“I’m really hoping that with the players that have been brought in, and the good players that are already in this squad, that we can have a good season.”
Over the course of the 2015-2016 campaign, Nicky Ajose scored 24 goals in the league for Swindon.
