Liverpool Striker Awoniyi, Etebo, Okechukwu Start Training With Nigeria U23s
Published: June 18, 2016Ahead of their trip to the United States of America, the Nigeria U23s have resumed preparations for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed.
After leaving their hotel rooms on Friday morning at around 0730 hours, the Dream Team VI had a training session at the practice pitch of the National Stadium in Abuja and did not return until around 1100 hours.
Today, another workout was held at the same venue, with a number of foreign-based professionals in attendance.
They include Liverpool striker Taiwo Awoniyi, skipper Azubuike Okechukwu, KV Oostende striker Saviour Godwin, Oghenekaro Etebo and Usman Mohammed.
The players and officials are awaiting the outcome of their visa applications before jetting out to Atlanta in the United States for a training camp.
