CSKA Moscow clinched the Russian Premier League title on the final day of the season after beating Rubin Kazan 1-0 at the Kazan Arena, with Alan Dzagoev netting the game-winner in the 19th minute.

Following their win, the Muscovites finished the season with 65 points, ahead of closest challengers FC Rostov who garnered 63 points from 30 matches.
