Igboananike Scores In Vain As Chicago Fire Lose To Vancouver Whitecaps

Kennedy Igboananike’s goal at BC Place was not enough as Chicago Fire fell 2-1 to Vancouver Whitecaps in Major League Soccer on Wednesday evening local time.
The Nigerian striker, who is in the possession of a Swedish passport, equalized in the 62nd minute after Blas Perez had opened scoring for the home team.
At the end of the day, Chicago Fire lost after Perez bagged his brace two minutes before the end of the contest.
On 81 minutes, Kennedy Igboananike would have won the game for his team but saw his left footed shot come off the post.
The 27-year-old is the highest goalscorer for Chicago Fire in the American topflight with four goals to his name from eight matches.
