Rivers United Netminder Rotimi Hopes To Post Shutout Against Plateau United
Published: April 24, 2016
Plateau United welcome Rivers United to the Rwang Pam Stadium, Jos in a potentially exciting match day 13 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clash on Sunday.
Goalkeeper, Sunday Rotimi, who has missed only one game for Rivers United (versus Niger Tornadoes in Lokoja on March 13) this season, is disappointed with the club’s failure to keep a single clean sheet thus far on the road and wants a quick bucking of the trend.
“It is something that annoys us but we are currently high on confidence having beaten teams like Enyimba and Kano Pillars this season.
“We know we can be champions and we want to play that way in Jos (on Sunday).
“My expectations are that we win the game,” he said to Rivers United Media.
Plateau United are in 17th place on the NPFL standings with 14 points from 12 matches while Rivers United are in in 5th place with 19 points from 12 matches.
