Ahmed Musa Confident That He Will Score Against Spartak
Published: March 07, 2016
CSKA Moscow star Ahmed Musa,23, has said that he was confident that he will score against Spartak Moscow before stepping out onto the Arena Khimki pitch on Sunday as they are one of his favourite opponents to score against.
The Nigeria international’s 11th minute goal was the fifth time that he has struck against the opponents since his move to CSKA from VVV Venlo in January 2012.
“I was really confident that I will score against Spartak. The fact that I often score against this team, and that this time had no doubt that I could excel. I had the feeling that I will score once again,” said Ahmed Musa to bobsoccer.ru.
“I think that CSKA had a very good match. We have seen that the fans filled the stands, feel like they need this victory. Given all this, our team could not play today in another way!
“Now we are waiting for the game with Rostov on the road. It will be no less important than the derby with Spartak.”
In 19 outings for CSKA Moscow in the Russian Premier League this season, Musa has registered his name on the score sheet 7 times.
