Anthony Ujah was in celebration mood after helping Werder Bremen qualify for the semifinals of the DFB Pokal, thanks to their 3-1 success at the BayArena against Bayer 04 Leverkusen.

The Nigeria international, who passed a late fitness test before Tuesday’s contest, hopped off the bench in the 86th minute and failed to score for the first time in the competition this season.

“Proud of the team ðð¾ Semi final here we come ðªð¾ #dfbpokal #halbfinale ð ,” the Werder Bremen number 21 tweeted.

Werder Bremen last reached the last four of the DFB Pokal six years ago, went on to advance to the final before they were beaten 4-0 by Bayern Munich in the showpiece game.

Since Ujah arrived in Germany from Norwegian club Lillestrom, he has featured 15 times in the DFB Pokal, scoring 5 goals (1 assist)
