Nigeria National League (NNL) front liners, Supreme Court FC of Abuja on Saturday defeated Nation-wide league side FC Ebedei 2-0 to top their group in the ongoing Gold Cup pre-season tournament in Ijebu Ode, Ogun state.

Goals from ace Striker Isaac Peter in the fifth minute of the encounter and another from new boy, Abdallah Hussain in the 72nd minute proved Supreme Court’s superiority over Ebedei.
Despite travelling all the way from the northern part of the country throughout Thursday, Coach Joachim Osuji-led Supreme Court soccer team defied all odds to beat Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) top side Giwa FC of Jos 1-0 the following day.
The only goal on their opening game came from new recruit Sammy Timothy after flurries of other scoring chances were not converted by the Abuja football outfit.
Head Coach of Supreme Court FC, Osuji who spoke afterwards praised his lads for putting up spirited effort which he said has signalled their willingness to justify their inclusion into the team.
“Since we began our build up to the new season, I have always told the players, both old and new that they need not to fear any team. We equally ensured that there was no compromise during the recruitment of the players.
“The team is coming up gradually. By the time we progress, we can assure our fans of total football artistry anywhere, anytime,” Osuji added
The team will on Monday confront former Premier league champions Kano Pillars to decide group winners.
