Jonathan Obika Scores Consolation Goal For Swindon Town
Published: December 27, 2015Jonathan Obika`s fifth goal of the season could not prevent Swindon Town from suffering a 3 - 1 defeat to Gillingham on Boxing Day.
The Anglo - Nigerian opened scoring for The Robins in the 18th minute at the County Ground but just a minute later the visitors equalized through Bradley Dack.
Ten minutes before half - time, Hessenthaler gave Gillingham the lead before Jackson put them 3 - 1 up in the 69th minute.
Both Obika and his strike partner Nicky Ajose played the full game for Swindon Town, while defender Adedeji Oshilaja went the distance for Gillingham.
Between them Obika and Ajose have accounted for 14 of the 33 goals scored by Swindon Town in League One.
