Plateau United Coach Mansur Abdullahi Undergoes Successful Eye Surgery

The hospital is owned by Al Basar International Foundation by Saudi Arabians with experienced doctors from Pakistan, India and Bangladesh.
The former Flamingoes assistant coach had the procedure some days back in order to correct some issues.
According to the coach, he is in steady condition in readiness for the new Nigeria Professional Football League season.
“On 4th December 2009, I was assaulted in Yenegoa, Bayelsa State,” Mansur Abdullahi said.
“When I was contracted as the head coach of Bayelsa Queens some players were already dropped.
“One of them (Dorcas Ariba) approached me that I should sign her but I told her that I didn’t have the power to do that but the management. She came for about three times.
“She went ahead and engaged the services of thugs under the leadership of one Happy Boy.
“They really assaulted me and the management of the club dumped me despite the fact that were owing me the sum of =N=3,280,200 which they are yet to pay till date.
“You know there was detachment on the retinal of the eye. Also blood covered the vision of the eye. So I was not seeing with the eye completely and that is went I go for the surgery.
“I’m using this medium to thank everyone that stood by me before, during and after the surgery. I pray that Almighty Allah continue to guide them.”
The coach is expected to undergo another minor surgery by June 2016.
