Published: December 17, 2015
Nigeria National League outfit, Mighty Jets FC of Jos, have thanked the people and government of Plateau State for their overwhelming support in the last couple of years particularly the incumbent Bar. Simon Bako Lalong-led administration in the state.
In a release made available to the Press by the Club through its Media Officer, Mbum Ferdinand, the Club said government’s financial support has repositioned the Club to where it originally should be.
Salaries are being paid as at when due and running costs are being provided for the daily day to day running of the Club and this has helped the entire structure of the team.
Ferdinand also on behalf of the Club promised the government of better outing in both the League and Federation Cup next year.
Meanwhile, the Club has distanced itself from anything to do with Baba Otu Muhammed and Ali Abubakar, saying they are not members of the board of directors or Management of the Club.
“Baba Otu Muhammed is not a founding Member or management member of the Club and has never been appointed a management member at no time. Godfrey Hamza remains the Chairman of the Club.”
Ferdinand also used the opportunity to advise journalists to make clarifications from the Media Department of the Club before going public.
Mighty Jets FC are currently conducting screening for the recruitment of new players and campaign in two major competitions next year, the Nigeria National League and the Federation Cup.
