Ambassador Giwa Commends His Boys For Their Resilience

Owner of Nigeria Professional Football League Outfit, Giwa FC of Jos, Ambassador Christopher Musa Giwa has praised the efforts of his boys after they secured a battling come-from-behind 3-2 victory over visiting Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi in a match-day 35 tie of the NPFL at the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos on Wednesday.
Ambassador Giwa who had a chat with allnigeriasoccer.com immediately after the game gave thanks to God Almighty for the victory as well as commending the resilience of his boys who never gave up regardless of the imminent defeat staring them in the face.
He said with the performance of his team, he believes continental football would not be farfetched.
He also thanked football loving fans who thronged the Stadium in their numbers to watch the game as he admits that the glory of Nigerian Football at league level is gradually coming back, promising the fans of better things ahead he concluded that in the coming months and years,the World would come to see a better Giwa FC.
Giwa FC came from behind twice to beat their border rivals Wikki 3-2 after a highly entertaining super-slam affair on Wednesday.
Harrison Madu opened scoring as early as the fourth minute for Wikki Tourists but Muhammad Saleh Kawu restored parity from the penalty spot.
Madu again put the visitors in front with a sublime volley moments later but also not long after then, Man of the Match, Amos Dadung Gyang scored from an audacious chip that left the entire spectators in awe and the first 45 minutes ended 2-2.
It was ding-dong affair in the entire second half as both sides sized themselves up in the entire duration but in added time Dadung Gyang conjured a moment of brilliance to score the all important decider and sent the fans at the arena into an unimaginable frenzy, earning three valuable points for the hosts.
With the victory, Giwa FC are now place 2nd on the log of the NPFL on 60 points after 35 games closely behind Enyimba who are topping on 65 points.
Their next game is against Heartland FC in Owerri on November 1.
