Chelsea Ladies striker Eniola Aluko was happy to grace the hallowed Wembley turf and assist the Londoners win the FA Women’s Cup on Saturday, their first title since the club was formed 23 years ago.

The England international worked 81 minutes in attack against Notts County before making way for Ana Borges and she was the liveliest player on the pitch so much so that she was named the player of the match by the FA.

“This is history in the making I couldn’t be more proud of this group of players,”Aluko said to thefa.com.

“Emma Hayes and her staff work so hard and inspire us each and every day.”

The Emma Hayes- led side won the game courtesy of Ji So-Yun’s 37th minute goal.
