Tiki Taka Summer Camp Set To Begin In Lagos

The Tiki Taka summer camp will hold in Lagos from August 24-28.
Revealing this in Abuja on Thursday, the Managing Director of Football Development Outfit Börje Gustavsson said that the program is aimed at teaching the players from the ages of 7-16 years and Coaches the philosophy of Tiki Taka.
“ First I have to say its not an Academy in the way you think in Nigeria. We are as a company developing clubs, academies, coaches and players.
“We started TikiTaka Football Develeopment HB in Sweden 2011. After some years we thought we should do something to our social engagement.
“In our work, and while traveling around the world, as chief scout I was in Ghana several times, we have seen the importance of football as a powerful tool for social development.
“When my earlier wife who is a Nigerian and I met Tosmicom Sports on the internet, I decided to start a sister company in Nigeria with the Swedish Company as a model.
“To the services and products we have in Sweden we added 2 teams U17 and U20 in Nigeria. The company TikiTaka Academy Nigeria Ltd was fully registered this year.”
He added : “We have nominated TikiTaka Ambassadors. This Ambassadors have arranged trials to our 2 teams. They have been in camp for 8-9 month and participated in a Tournament arranged by Liberty Football Management Nigeria Ltd to which I and my Head Instructor Tommy Johansson were invited.
“We are just now preparing for the first edition of TikiTaka Summer Camp for kids 7-16 years, boys and girls, in Lagos August 24th-28th.
“In combination with the Camp we will have a TikiTaka Coaching Course where we teach the TikiTaka Method. Tommy is coming from Sweden to be the Head Instructor.
“Just after the Camp we will have new trials for our teams. The teams will then be in Camp until we arrange a TikiTaka Scouting Tournament in Lagos November 13th-18th. European and Asian scouts will be invited”.
