Published: July 29, 2015The General Manager of CSKA Moscow, Roman Babaev, has confirmed that the Army Men have been trying to sign Nigeria international Aaron Samuel since the January transfer market but Guangzhou R&F are playing hard ball over the transfer.
As previously revealed by allnigeriasoccer.com, the Chinese club have refused to sell the striker for less than five million euros, a figure that is yet to be met by the Muscovites after months of negotiations.
“We are interested and has been under scrutiny since last winter. We are dealing with him but the Chinese club is not willing to let him go, ” said Roman Babaev to sport - express.ru.
“However, we also evaluate other candidates. ”
Because of their poor league position, this website understands that Guangzhou R&F want to keep hold of Samuel until they are sure of Super League safety.
The Nigeria international is tied to the Yuexiushan Stadium outfit until December 2016.
