ANS Runs The Rule Over Nigeria Target, Liverpool Winger Jordon Ibe
Published: July 21, 2015As the pre-season is still ongoing, clubs are engaging each other in friendly games in in preparation for the new season.
A host of clubs were in action but we take a look at the game between Brisbane Roar FC of Australia and Liverpool FC of England where Jordan Ibe was a handful for his opponents.
Jordon Ibe did not start the game but came off the bench in the second half. The second half duration was enough for the Anglo-Nigerian Winger to make his mark in the game.
His introduction into the game gave Liverpool a cutting edge over their Australian opponents.
His presence was felt from the left flank where his pace down the left caused a lot of worry for the opposing defence.
On receiving the ball on the flank he beat his marker with pace and just outside the box cut inside to unleash a blazing strike just inches away from the top corner. What a goal, it would have been.
The player was hitting his hand in disarray knowing how close he was to a memorable goal.
He was willing to take defenders on whenever he received the ball on the wing and was involved in James Milner’s winning goal to make it 2 – 1 in favour of Liverpool.
His composure on the ball blights his young age, always calling for the ball because of his self-belief.
His awareness was spot on. He seems to see from back and know what to do before he
receives the ball.
His decision making is good compared to his age. His pace and dribbling runs made him a cause for concern for the opponents coupled with his occasionally tracking back to help out in defensive duties.
Jordon Ibe is a top class player in the making for sure.
