Dinamo Minsk Midfielder Chigozie Udoji Hoping To Hit Top Form After Spell On The Sidelines
Published: June 23, 2015Chigozie Udoji has expressed his delight at returning to the Dinamo Minsk squad after spending close to a month on the sidelines due to a fractured hand.
The attacking midfielder netted his second Vysheyshaya Liga goal of the 2015 season on Monday in Dinamo Minsk’s 4 - 2 defeat of Slavia Mozyr.
“I broke my hand in April so I didn’t play until the ending of May. I am protecting the hand with a guard so I don’t break it again,” Chigozie Udoji said to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“I was prepared for the season until I picked up the injury. Getting my place back in the team is going to be difficult because I have to get back to my form.
“I would have scored more goals if I was playing, I always want to score.”
Dinamo Minsk have been drawn against Bulgarian team Cherno More in the second qualifying round of the Europa League.
And Chigozie Udoji,who has played for their national team at youth level, is looking forward to the contest on July 16, his birthday.
“I am looking forward to the game against Cherno More because I played in Bulgaria for five years.
“We are going to do our best and get the win and qualify for the next round,” Udoji said.
His contract with Dinamo Minsk will run out at the end of the 2015 season.
