Blackpool Rising Star Bright Osayi - Samuel Happy With Performance Last Season
Published: June 20, 2015Blackpool super - kid Bright Osayi - Samuel announced his arrival in English football this past season with a string of fine displays for The Seasiders in the Championship.
And despite the demotion of the Lancashire - based outfit from the second - tier, the teenager thinks he had an excellent season when he was asked to appraise his performances.
“The three home games I played was like 7/8 in my individual performance,” Bright Osayi - Samuel told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“ But because the team wasn’t stable I couldn’t show all the ability I had to express as we defended quite a lot.”
Two months after he clocked 17, Osayi - Samuel made his first appearance for Blackpool, coming on as a 60th minute substitute in their 1 - 0 loss to Sheffield Wednesday, and he was named on the 18 - man squad on 13 occasions over the course of last season.
“It felt like a dream but had to make sure it was like any other game in order to perform well.
“The manager just said I should play with no fear and express myself which really motivated me,” the winger said.
Teams in the Premier League and Championship have taken notice of his ability, with Manchester United and Reading keeping tabs on him , according to reports.
