Obafemi Martins To Spend A Minimum Of Three Weeks On The Sidelines
Published: June 19, 2015Obafemi Martins will spend at least three weeks on the sidelines after picking up a groin injury earlier in the week a Cup tie against Portland Timbers.
The Seattle Sounders number nine has undergone an MRI scan and the result show that he will spend three - six weeks on the treatment table.
“It doesn’t require surgery. So that’s a positive situation. But we’ve got to see how many weeks he will be out of action).”coach Sigi Schmid told the media after training on Thursday.
“So the window is similar. Between three and six weeks, we’d expect.”
If we take a positive approach and use three weeks as the base, Obafemi Martins will be unavailable for selection for games against SJ Earthquakes, Philadelphia Union , Portland Timbers and DC United in the MLS.
