Kenechukwu Uchenwa Ponders Future With Mallorca
Published: June 15, 2015Defensive midfielder Kenechukwu Uchenwa has dropped a hint that he may depart Mallorca in the summer.
Time is ticking away for the Spanish Segunda Division side to recoup a percentage of their previous investment on the player as he becomes a free agent at the end of next season.
“I haven’t talked with any clubs directly but someone who moves around for me has held talks with many clubs in Spain and outside Spain,”Kenechukwu Uchenwa confided to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“Now I am waiting for him to reply me what plans he has for me next season.”
Over the course of last season, the 24 - year - old failed to make a single appearance for the first team of Mallorca but suited up 15 times for the Reserve Team, who play in the third level of the Spanish football pyramid.
“My performance was good, it’s true that I didn’t play much but the little I played I came out as best player of the match.
“So I can’t say it’s because of my performance I didn’t play much. I hope next season will be much better because I know what I can give,” he concluded.
Kenechukwu Uchenwa has spent the last five seasons at the Iberostar Stadium.
