Pahang Forward Dickson Nwakaeme Shocked Over Death Of Malaysian - Based Footballer David Oniya
Published: June 13, 2015Pahang FA striker Dickson Nwakaeme has expressed shock over the passing away of Nigerian defender David Faramola Oniya.
The 30 - year - old died in hospital after collapsing during Saturday’s friendly between his club T - Team and Kelantan.
“It is very sad news for me and the whole Malaysian football followers.
“I didn’t know David Oniya in person, I never got to meet him,”Dickson Nwakaeme, one of Nigeria’s well known players in Malaysia, told allnigeriasoccer.com.
David Oniya was rushed to Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab after the incident but was pronounced dead 30 minutes later.
The deceased Titans skipper starred for clubs in Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Malaysia.
