Abia Warriors Target ThankGod Ike Rubbishes Reports He Will Debut Against Sunshine Stars
Published: June 12, 2015Thankgod Ike has rubbished reports that claimed he will make his debut for Abia Warriors when they face Sunshine Stars on Sunday in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
The central defender is still in talks with the Umuahia side and it is understood that negotiations may not be concluded in the next 48 hours.
“I have not finalised anything with Abia Warriors. Abia Warriors are still talking with my agent, and he has promised to call me tomorrow at 9am to give me an update.
“There is no way I can play against Sunshine Stars when I am not yet their player and I have not been registered,” said ThankGod Ike to allnigeriasoccer.com.
The former Nigeria international just returned to the country after a brief stint with Omani side, Fanja SC.
