Jose Mourinho Pleased With Performance Of Obi Mikel Against Sydney FC
Published: June 02, 2015Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho says he is impressed with the attitude of the senior players, including John Obi Mikel, that accompanied the squad for a post - season tour of Thailand and Australia.
The Nigeria international participated in both friendlies against Thailand All - Stars in Bangkok and Sydney FC at the ANZ Stadium on Tuesday.
“I’m happy with the performance of my senior players because it’s been a long season, in fact very long,”Mourinho told the official website of Chelsea, chelseafc.com.
“There were some performances from people like Ivanovic, Terry and Mikel where they tried to play football and the result could have been completely different.”
In both games, the newly crowned Premier League champions defeated the opponents 1 - 0 , with England youth international Dominic Solanke scoring the game - winner against Thailand All - Stars last weekend.
