Long Serving Midfielder Izunna Uzochukwu Announces FC Midtjylland Departure
Published: May 20, 2015FC Midtjylland longstanding midfield player Izunna Uzochukwu has completed 170 first team appearances for the club, but will depart the MCH Arena as a free agent in the summer.
With the Champions League qualifiers ahead, it might be tempting to remain, but that has the 25-year-old Nigerian has other plans.
“No, maybe I am on course to play Champions League in my new club, who knows, ” says Izunna to bold.dk.
“We have been waiting for this for a long time, and I am just about to finish with a championship, and it feels like the right time for me to move on.
“The most important thing is to go somewhere where I can enjoy my game and maybe play Europa League or Champions League. ”
The FC Ebedei product has ruled out a transfer to China , adding that he would prefer to remain in Europe.
