Wilfred Ndidi Admits Winning World Cup Will Not Be As Easy As ABC
Published: May 14, 2015Racing Genk’s Wilfred Ndidi has set his sights on winning the Under 20 World Cup but has declared it will not be as easy as ABC.
Only two days after arriving in Germany for the Flying Eagles get - together, the central defender got down to business, featuring in the 5 - 2 win against Hoffenheim.
Speaking to the official website of the Nigeria Federation, Ndidi said : “The main focus is to win the U20 World Cup especially as Nigeria have never won it.
“It will be great to achieve this even though I also know it will not be easy.
“I was in Turkey and gained some experience and I hope I can motivate my other teammates, give them more confidence, at this year’s competition. ”
Indeed, the 18 - year - old was part and parcel of the Nigeria’sU20 squad in 2013, playing in all the matches bar one.
