Kelechi Iheanacho Scores Game - Winner As Manchester City Win Premier League Cup
Published: May 09, 2015Nigeria youth - teamer Kelechi Iheanacho scored arguably the most important goal so far in the jersey of Manchester City on Friday night.
Patrick Viera’s tutored Elite Development Squad have lifted the inaugural International Premier League Cup courtesy of Iheanacho’s early goal in the fourth minute against Porto in the final.
The 18 - year - old has also hit target in recent games against Chelsea and Leicester City to extinguish all doubts surrounding his fitness once and for all.
A couple of Manchester City first teamers witnessed the final of the Premier League Cup at the Academy Stadium including skipper Vincent Kompany, Eliaquim Mangala, Edin Dzeko and Aleks Kolarov.
Kelechi Iheanacho has applied for a New Zealand visa and will link up with the Nigeria Under 20s at their training camp in Germany as soon as the document is processed.
