Slave Contracts : FC Midtjylland Deny Accusations By Nigerian Players
Published: April 29, 2015FC Midtjylland has published a statement on its website denying that the club forces Nigerian players to sign contracts with specific agents so they get underpaid.
The sporting director of the Danish club, Claus Steinlein , has argued that six different agents represents the eight Nigerians on the payroll of FCM.
“We do not force young players to take certain agents. We recommend those we think will be best for them.
“We have seen a young player with a foreign agent, who demanded 300,000 Danish kroner net a month (40,000 euros) after a handful of first team games.
“It was not conducive to his possibilities with us,” said Claus Steinlein to fcm.dk.
