Confluence Queens Supremo, Abdul Sule Dreaming About Win In League Opener Against Delta Queens
Published: April 29, 2015Chairman of Confluence Queens Football Club, Mallam Abdul Sule has expressed optimism on the chances of his girls ahead of their Nigeria Women Premier League opener against Delta Queens in Oleh this weekend.
Confluence Queens have been handed the toughest draw of the NWPL group A week 1 fixtures with an away match against Delta Queens tipped as one of the contenders for the crown.
Sule has affirmed that the Wada Queens are up to the task even as he praised the Delta Queens as one of the top side in the league.
“For Confluence Queens, we are up to the challenge against Delta Queens, I know they are a good side but with the qualities in our team, I’m optimist we remain the best Queens in the league.”
Asked if playing away in the week 1 fixture is a problem, the former Super Eagles star replied, “We can play anywhere, be it at home or away from home, it doesn’t matter.
“What is most important is for the players to put in their best and compliment our efforts.
“Last season, we played our first match away to Bayelsa Queens where we picked a point. I believe we can do better this time around.”
“Beating Delta Queens at home is realistic, it’s not an impossible mission because I know we have the team to achieve that. Our target this season is to be one of the best, if not the best, the ex Stationery Stores forward concluded.”
