Official : Stephen Keshi Reappointed As Nigeria Coach
Published: April 21, 2015The Nigeria Football Federation has put an end to speculation about the future of Stephen Keshi by reappointing him as the coach of the Super Eagles for the next two years.
Thus, the former New Nigeria Bank libero will be in the dugout when the qualifying fixtures for the 2017 African Nations Cup begins in June, and the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
“This is a new page in the history of Super Eagles,” Stephen Keshi was quoted as saying by thenff.com.
“I admit that I cannot do it alone, and that is why I am calling on everyone interested in the fortune of Nigeria football to join hands with me so that we can take our game to the very top.
“What has happened in the past remains in the past. I want us to look forward and talk and walk positively.”
In his first stint as coach, Stephen Keshi led the Super Eagles to win the 2013 African Cup of Nations.
