Ikechukwu Uche Breathes Sign Of Relief After Win Against Granada
Published: February 07, 2015
Villarreal striker Ikechukwu Uche has acknowledged that the 2 - 0 win over Granada on Saturday night was not on a platter of gold.
Argentinian defender Pablo Musacchio gave the hosts the lead on the half hour mark, and the scoreline remained the same until injury time when Gerard Moreno netted his third goal of the season.
“We knew how to suffer to get a very important victory, well done guys! #EndavantVillarreal,” said Ikechukwu Uche on Twitter.
Nigeria youth international Isaac Success did not make Granada’s 18 - man squad for the seventh time so far in the 2014 - 2015 campaign.
On the other hand, Uche made his 20th appearance (17 starts) of the season for the Yellow Submarine.
Meanwhile, his elder brother and fellow Super Eagle Kalu Uche scored his first goal in the colours of Levante in their 4 - 1 thrashing of Malaga.
