On Saturday, Austrian - Nigerian wing - back David Alaba made a return to action in a friendly between Bayern Munich and Al-Hilal , which ended 4 - 1 in favour of the German champions.
The 22 - year - old had spent over two months on the sidelines after he suffered an injury in the Champions League clash with Roma.
But Alaba proved that the ailment was a thing of the past after his introduction in the 57th minute, having played without discomfort.
He is in line to make his 11th appearance in the Bundesliga this season when Bayern Munich tackle Wolfsburg on January 30.
Bayern Munich will square off against Bochum next Friday in a tune - up game.
