Vincent Enyeama Appeals To Nigerians
Published: October 13, 2014In the wake of the shameful 1 - 0 loss to Sudan lat weekend, Super Eagles skipper Vincent Enyeama has appealed to Nigerians to continue supporting the team.
And the Lille goalkeeper has promised that the team will make amends when they tackle the North Africans in the reverse fixture on Wednesday in Abuja.
“We didn’t go out there to lose to Sudan but it has happened and that is now history and I apologize on behalf of my teammates for that but we must quickly forgive and forget because we have a game on Wednesday and if we win that and our last two games, we will still be in Morocco.
“Let Nigerians forgive us and also pray for us to win our remaining games,” Vincent Enyeama said in a statement.
Except for the 2012 tournament hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, the Super Eagles have qualified for all the editions of the tourney since 2000.
