Aalesund Forward Leke James Cherishes Point Against Sogndal
Published: September 15, 2014Aalesund striker Leke James has said that picking a point from their game against Sogndal in the Norwegian Premier League on Sunday should be cherished.
The AaFK number 14 struck for the sixth time in ten matches in all competitions, hitting target two minutes before the interval before an own goal by Arnefjord in the 54th minute leveled matters.
“I am not disappointed that we got a point, it is better than going back home with a loss. I believe if we can pick ten more points from our remaining games, we will remain in the Premier League.
“The management is giving us all the moral support so we survive relegation. And we try to motivate ourselves too, ” says Leke James to allnigeriasoccer.com.
Two other Nigerian players - Akeem Latifu and Edward Ofere - were also on parade at the Fosshaugane Campus.
After 23 rounds, Aalesund sit 11th on the 16 - team table, with only four points separating them from Haugesund, who occupy the last relegation spot.
